This class will be held at Sirchie's Headquarters in Youngsville, NC May 20-22, 2024.

This 3-day training course purpose is to train participants on an easy-to-understand practical basic concepts on how to successfully manage property and evidence rooms for law enforcement agencies using 100 simple ways and commonsense best practices and strategies that really work in the 21st Century. "Absolute Best" practices in the daily managing of a property and evidence rooms as a property evidence technician or manager or supervisor.

This course is strongly recommended for all Public Safety and Law Enforcement agencies dealing with and storing property and evidence to include clerk of court offices and the military investigative agencies.

The training methodology is to interact with the students using training aides, lectures, guided discussions with participating students as well as keeping an open forum for feedback, queries and suggestions.

Direct hands-on practices throughout the course to make the student a successful graduate to become a Property & Evidence Specialist.

Overall training will include professional discussions and interactive sessions tha will be supported through training materials and hands on demonstrations for packaging items, as well as presentations and detailed instructions along with a signed copy of a national published book from the instructor titled "100 Simple Ways How To Manage A Successful Property & Evidence Room."

100 Simple Ways How To Manage A Successful Property & Evidence Room is the culmination of over 3 decades of leadership experience by Gregory Smith as a retired United States Marine combined with his duties as a 20-year veteran Certified International Property and Evidence Specialist with the New Bern Police Department is sure to revolutionize all department's managing and storing property and evidence.

Your Instructor

Gregory Smith is a retired United States Marine Gunnery Sergeant and retired New Bern PD Certified Forensics Property & Evidence Specialist. He was the first nationally Certified International Property and Evidence Specialist in the history of the New Bern Police Department (NBPD). Smith is a Property and Evidence Management Graduate from the NC DOJ and the International Property & Evidence Association based in California as well attended numerous training sessions and conferences during his tenure at NBPD. He was a highly requested auditor for property and evidence rooms by law enforcement agencies in the surrounding areas of Craven County NC during his tenure at NBPD. Gregory is a national published author in evidence on how to manage a successful property and evidence room titled "100 Simple Ways How to Manage a Successful Property & Evidence Room." He is s Crime Scene Investigator and Latent Print graduate from the NC Department of Justice. His advanced Latent Prints/Palm Prints studies were conducted and completed at SIrchie instructed by Mr. Johnny Leonard.
