Each student must have attended and completed a Basic Latent Print Comparison Course to be accepted in the Advanced Ridgeology Course.

You are an experienced latent print examiner preparing to take the International Association for Identification Certified Latent Print Examination.
You would like to receive training with case work quality latent prints for a real-life latent comparison experience.
Combining lecture and latent print practical exercises, emphasis is placed on comparison techniques for comparing difficult and complex latent finger and palm prints. Exercises are designed to provide the student with real life case work training experience.
This course has been approved for Certification and Recertification Training credit by the IAI
IAI Latent Print Certification Credit: 36 hours
Your Instructor
Johnny Leonard is a retired Deputy Director of the City‐County Bureau of Identification in Raleigh, NC and is both an I.A.I. Certified Latent Print Examiner and Footwear Examiner. He has also worked for the FBI and the NC State Bureau of Investigation. He has been a latent fingerprint examiner for the past 40 years and has over 50 years of fingerprint experience. During the past 44 years he has instructed over 250 classes and trained more than 2500 students in the science of fingerprints.
