Robert Ethan Jensen Memorial Scholarship

Sirchie is pleased to announce the continuation of the Jensen Scholarship through the generosity of Dr. Ramsland in 2014.

Sirchie is pleased to announce a new scholarship to fund tuition for up to 2 recipients to attend a Sirchie's Evidence Collection training in 2014.  This scholarship was made possible through the generosity of Dr. Katherine Ramsland, a professor of forensic psychology at DeSales University in Pennsylvania, the author of 46 books and over 1,000 articles, and a noted expert in murder and other shadow themes.

Robert Ethan Jensen was a police officer in Nebraska, a deputy sheriff for two different departments, and a noted self-defense expert with 25 years of martial arts experience.  His passion was teaching edged weapons and combatives.  He died after an illness in 2005 at the age of 38.

This opportunity is open to all law enforcement personnel from departments with 50 or fewer officers. 

Each applicant must provide the following information:

  • Name of Agency
  • Size of Agency
  • Any prior Sirchie training attendance in your agency?
  • How would attending this training benefit your department and the population you serve?

Please note:  The scholarship covers the cost of tuition for the class.  Recipient is responsible for travel, room & board.
