ducted or recirculating fuming hood, and if
your FR200 Laboratory Fuming Chamber
fits under the hood, the problem of how
to get rid of the fumes before examining
the evidence is easily solved. If not, then
the DeFumigator™ from SIRCHIE® is the
answer!
The DeFumigator™ is a fully self-contained Cyanoacrylate filtration
system that connects directly to the FR200. It is equipped with a HEPA filter
(No. FR301) and a Bonded Carbon-Activated Filter (No. FR302) to assure more
than >99% removal of the noxious odors and fumes produced by Cyanoacrylate fuming.
Removable thumbscrews permit quick, easy access to the filter compartment.
The DeFumigator™ is equipped with a built-in timer with presets for 5, 10, 15, and 30-minute
cycles as well as a manual OFF (see control panel, below). Hookup is a snap with no
tools required. It attaches to the FR200 Fuming Chamber with a 24 inch, flexible hose. Simply
select the extraction time needed—usually 15 to 30 minutes—and handle other tasks while the DeFumigator™ does its job.

| This is SIRCHIE®’s newly redesigned FR200 Cyanoacrylate Fuming Chamber.
It features a 4.0 cubic-foot volume for processing a large number of items
simultaneously. Two heating elements, operating independently or simultaneously,
allow for safe Cyanoacrylate accelerated development of latent prints. The heater
elements are self-limited to surface temperatures of approximately 230°F. |
Closely monitor the development process of your evidence for latent prints through the clear,
polycarbonate
front door panel. The FR200 even comes equipped with a built-in control print hanger—taking the guesswork
out of fuming time! An inlet located on each side panel is compatible with CYANOWAND™ (No. SCW101)
which emits Cyanoacrylate vapor into the chamber and the No. PUM100 Portable Humidifier when moisture is
required during processing. Of course, the
DeFumigator™ (No. FR300) should be
used to safely remove noxious odors and
fumes from cyanoacrylate fuming.
